Francis, I've heard you grow up in Bronx...how was life there? Are there any significant differences that make you see life in a different way 'cause of your childhood there ?" Aryannina from Just Jason HEY YOU GUYS!!! A million hugs and kisses to all of you, except Ricardo, to whom I give a bear hug and a firm handshake, just like we do in London.
As for your question, my life in Pelham Bay was blessed, given the circumstances. My mother did an incredible job of sheltering me from what could have been a vicious
childhood, while showering me with all the books and toys I could dream of, despite being on welfare. My sister on the other hand, did not fair as well and her early years during our stay in the Bronx were difficult. I lived with my great grandfather, who did his best to replace the lack of a male figure in my home. My great grandmother would slip into a coma before I ever auditioned for my first role but both her and my grandfather instilled in me a fighting spirit which would prove invaluable to me in this industry. She also taught me how to curse in italian, which would lead to my first job as a performer. When my grandfather, who was a very hard man to argue with, would start to pick on her, she would slip me a $10 bill to run up to him and say, "vaffanculo!" before running back upstairs as fast as I could. Since times were as hard as they were, I don't like to spend much time remembering the Bronx, rather I remember the incredible people who were in my life during the 10 years I lived in NYC. I would later move upstate with my aunt and uncle once my career began to pick up, but even years after, even when living in California, I would refer to The Bronx as "back home." -" Ciao Francis, it's Orne from Italy, we met twice in London, nice to have the opportunity to ask you something! Of course my question is regarding you and Jason: your fighting scenes with him seemed to me very realistic,...Did you help him to bring out the" street guy" personality? I recently read that you guys became and continued to be friends after Veronica Mars,... you don't play golf with him, do you??? In all seriousness , and most important, have you any news from your work for us? - Yes,please! - Orne from Just Jason Jason has admitted to me on more than one occasion that he has never been in a fight. I find this hard to believe, since he pulls it off really well on camera. Clearly, I could whoop his ass on camera or off, so I would hold back in our fight scenes so that it seemed fair.
I wouldn't know what the hell I was doing on a golf course, I'm not a fan of golf, even though Jason has invited me to go with him a few times. I am terrible at almost every sport invented in the past century, with the exception of PC gaming. My worst nightmare is having to dribble, catch a ball, or hit a ball on camera. It's really kind of sad.
As for work, no news at the moment. I came really, really close to taking this really bad guest star role on this somewhat decent crime show.....but....no thanks. I'm sure I'll be popping up somewhere soon before pilot season, which is when the opportunities I am really looking for will be available. I want to be a regular, on a good show, in 2010. People like you have given me a newfound desire to work harder than I ever have before, it may take awhile, but I promise to do some great things in the near future. - " Do you have a tatoo you love more than others? If yes, what does it represent ? " Arianna from Veronica Mars fan club Italia My favorite tattoo would have to be the one on the left side of my neck, which is dedicated to my mother, my sisters and my brother. It represents the unbreakable bond I share with my immediate family. It is a crown with 5 points, one representing
my mother Anne Marie, (whose name is tattooed on my chest) my older sister Chanel, (on my back) my younger sister Ava, (my left wrist) my brother Asa (my right wrist) and myself. - " Who would you like to be in your next project? Thanks for your Weevil, I really enjoyed the way you played the part! " Mary from Just Jason I would like to work on something really physical, something that has danger to it or that requires alot of energy and preparation. I think I need something that is really challenging at this point after having almost 8 months of no real work. -"Ciao Francis, it's Riccardo, your mate from Italy LOL I hope you remember your Italian group from London! Most of the VM's fans thought that the "quality" of the 3rd season wasn't so good as the other two...Do you agree with that? If yes can you explain me why? Riccardo from Veronica Mars fan club Italia Because I was barely in the 3rd season. Just kidding. I haven't heard this before, but I can't really try to explain it since I am still guilty of not being healthy enough to do my own character justice in season 3. I was going through some serious issues at the time and had resolved to letting the rest of my brilliant cast and crew carry me through the season. If only I could go back. :/ However, I am so grateful to have been a part of all 3 seasons and given the fact that our ratings were never as high as the network wanted, I would have to say that even our worst season must have been pretty damn good to make it as far as we did. I of course, credit this to our leading lady, Kristen, above all.
